A New Direction

A New Direction

Hello, hello!

WOW.

This is the longest time that I’ve went without updating this site in….. 6 years!

Six. Years.

Dang.

Here’s the thing, I’ve been going THROUGH IT for the past 2 ish years. Basically, since September 2017 things have been you know, kind of a crazy disaster. From my health, to my job situations, to other things that I won’t mention - it’s all been pretty up in the air and for someone as structured and detailed as I am, it’s been TOUGH.

As I stepped away from sharing my life on the internet for a while I really got to take the time to get clear on where this is all going. I’ve known for a while that I don’t want to do food anymore and I’ve made that clear, but beyond that I haven’t really elaborated because I didn’t really have a clue as to what I wanted to share, or even if I wanted to share anything at all.

It’s no secret in the internet sharing world that blogging isn’t what it used to be. A lot of people don’t pay attention to blogs anymore and want the instant gratification of IG stories or 2 minute videos on Facebook.

I get it, I do!

But something that I also get is blogging and this is a social platform that I still love. And with that being said, after thinking about it for way longer than is considered normal, it’s something that I still want to keep doing. No matter what.

I was my best self when I was regularly sharing on the blog and that spread to every other aspect of my life. Even if no one reads a word I say anymore, that’s okay. This is something that I’m finally getting back to doing for myself. But if you’re interested and want to be here, then I totally welcome you! :)

My goal/plan for the next few weeks - I intend to write a few times a week (aiming for at least 3) until September and then on September 1 I will start rereading Harry Potter (because it’s their first day back at Hogwarts, duh!) and I will be updating here daily.

Yes, daily!!

Yikes!

Yay!

I’m really excited to get back to something that was such a big part of my life for so long and to have a clear direction and intention going into it.

Here’s to a new direction!

p.s. there will probably be a name change with the site eventually but for now we’re going to still rock Create N Plate :)
