Healing Breakfast Bowl - Vegan

I'm always trying to come up with new things in the kitchen. Especially for breakfast. Almost every single day I get my banana ice cream fix. I love it so much. It's such a versatile base for so many different possible flavors and combinations. A recipe creators best friend!

Yesterday I was doing my thing. I tossed my bananas in the blender with a bit of almond milk. Before I blended it I just had a thought. Why not add some turmeric? So I did... and now I'm obsessed.

Turmeric is a powerful healing method for many health issues ranging from reducing inflammation to assisting in cancer prevention. You can buy it in root form or powdered. I've only come across the actual root in Trader Joes recently and didn't buy any. Before that I wasn't able to find any! Maybe I wasn't looking close enough? Who knows! But anyways, I have the powdered form which is what I used in this delicious banana breakfast.

Honestly, this was one of my favorite banana ice cream combos that I've ever created. I was shocked at how much I loved it. Turmeric has quite a strong taste, so the trick is to add just enough to alter the flavor of the bananas. But not too much to the point that it becomes an overpowering flavor. Don't worry, I'll share my favorite measurements down below! And when you give it a try, share your beautiful yellow bowl of goodness with me on Facebook or Instagram!
